your family and friends back down the drive
and cross the main road. The launch field
is then visible. DO NOT attempt to park
at the launch field or the road side.

One of our two Worcestershire Virgin Hot Air Balloon launch sites can be found at the beautiful, Grade 2-listed Wood Norton Hall, set in 170-acres of glorious Worcestershire countryside overlooking the fabled Vale Of Evesham.

Previously owned by a medieval king, a banana importer, the first Lord Oraven, France's aristocratic Bourbon-Orleans family and the world famous BBC, Wood Norton Hall has certainly had an interesting time.

Once the setting for the royal wedding of princess Louise of Orleans to the prince Charles of Bourbon in 1907, Wood Norton Hall boasts 45 double en-suite 4 star bedrooms, a fine restaurant, owning two AA Rosettes for excellent food, a billiard's room, tennis, squash and a multi-gym.

With acres of fields available for outside events and activities or from which to climb effortlessly into the sky aboard our balloon the house is the perfect place to simply while away the hours enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Just five minutes into your flight and you might find yourself drifting sedately over the ancient market town of Evesham which can be traced back to the eighth century, around the same time its Abbey was founded.

Built on the spot where the Virgin Mary is believed to have appeared to a humble swineherd called Eoves, the abbey has an unmistakable atmosphere of intrigue.

Surrounding Evesham is a host of villages, with something for everyone and if fortunate enough with the wind, you might find that you follow the Vale Of Evesham Blossom Trail that will take in many of them.

Starting at Evesham itself the Blossom Trail threads itself through scenic, historic villages, including Fladbury, The Lenches and around the impressive Bredon Hill, to the North of which is Elmley Castle.

This really is a fairytale region with much to excite and inspire the balloon explorer, guaranteeing a memorable flight whichever direction the wind takes you.
