	AA Magazine readers Michael and Ann Nottage couldn’t believe their luck when they landed our £5,000 competition learning how to fly hot air balloons in Italy! The couple spent a week marvelling at the snow-capped Italian Alps from the basket of a Virgin hot air balloon in Cuneo and even found time to witness champion Virgin balloon pilot Lindsay Muir make an attempt on the world female altitude record – as well as having a go at flying the balloons themselves!
And that wasn’t all. They were also treated to a trip to the world famous vineyards of Barolo and a sensational day out in Monte Carlo and Turin. Still on cloud nine, Michael says: “This was, without doubt, the best prize ever and we can’t thank the AA Magazine and Virgin Balloon Flights enough for making our dreams come true. Everyone should fly in a Virgin hot air balloon, it’s amazing!”
